Had my V8 Granada for 6 years and had more races in my zed in the last 3 weeks than all the time in the Granny. Trouble is it's a n/a auto so most people beat me.

Just biding my time tho'.

mine an jap spec manual so its normally my driving that lets me down

I dont think they are racing you mate just trying to keep up,i never race just drive at a quick pace,ive had a guy wanting to race me in a golf so i slowed down he went pass me very quick,as i got down the road a bit he had crashed into the central barrier.

So when you get a person trying to race you just slow down and watch them make fools of themselves :xxx:

funny enough your avarage joe soap does,nt even know what these cars are, i get "what type of car is that mate" at the lights quite a lot

I've only had mine for less then 3 weeks and I get nice car lady and lots of smile from guys at the lights before I leave them in my dust. Oh and young lads I've never spokern to before on my estate keep coming up to me and asking about it. Hubbies getting worried. LOL

Not sure what my car is making HP & Torque wise but two lads in an EVO that was "making over 350HP" wanted to "See what it will do mate?" the other day. Nothing in it acceleration wise but when we hit three figures (closed runway test facility natch) the superior aerodynamics kicked in......

 

But yes everyone wants to race even Honda Type R's :headvswal

Yeah, I get it all the time too, although not as much as I used to... think people are used to my zed round here now as there aren't many of them (which reminds me, I saw another one this evening, must get over to "was it you"). Cambridge is barry boy central nowadays. Maybe it always was, but I've only been here four years or so. Was really surprised at the *unbelievable* number of boyracers knocking around the town centre at the weekends. Anyway, plenty of "no, your Polo won't beat my car just because you've got neons" type action to be had round here if you're after it.
