What I found highly amusing was the middle paragraph on the last page about the ZX's reliability! LMFAO

Taking into account these were brand new cars at the time, Z busts its heater, belches smoke etc. Hmmmmmmm!!! Nuff said I think...hope you enjoyed though?

As it got older it didn't improve where it needed to. The understeer on track is phenomenal, but it is still one of the only cars, when it is running ok, that you can use day to day and on track without suffering to be driving a porker and that is still a lot more money. When you plant the accelerator and a Y reg 360 Modena struggles to keep up it does bring a big smile. I bought mine for £10k he bought his for £100k+, ha ha ha.

I know high rpm isnt the be all and end all, but jeez, 4400 rpm??? what a lazy fucking engine, granted theres plenty torque, which is far more useful, but every once in a while you gotta wind it up a bit!

You can tell the rather american bias in the article, it fairly stinks, although the zx won overall, through the article, the corvette seems to do everything better! probably due to it being built by the worlds greatest country, what a bunch of heroes. hehehe. Fucking americans, their supercar gets beaten yet they refuse to admit it, why are they like that, why, why?

They make a half arsed attempt at admitting, yet turn again and say if only the corvette was a new car! eh?

hehehe zx snaked through the slalom faster, it couldnt just be faster, it had to be almost undrivable, americans eh?

go on go on go on go on go on you know it makes sense

5.7 litre V8 giving 250 BHP..... Holy shit. Peaking at 4,400 rpm. What a waste in comparison to the Z. Why don't they allow it to rev higher to give more HP??????It seems like a waste of a V8 to me.

I guess they don't have the technological precision/reliability when it comes to having another two more cylinders wedging into the cycle??????

coz they use pushrods to open the valves! anyone remember those??? biggrin.gif

Both cars very nice, and desired by many.

The V8 gives a lot of smiles for a large! boot or two. The handling as said is responsible for many a chalk mark on a window in an insurance scrap yard!!!

The Z is much more of a drivers car, when like me you live in a city with 138 roundabouts -wtf- & you rewire the electronic dampers to a switch on the dash & start listening to the priceless advice & knowledge of this forum (virtual club!)then the car comes into a new categeroy. UNTIL! you gotta stamp on the OH SHIT pedal for a dozen times! - then many a Z donns a window chalk mark!!!

harve.
