Hello, could someone help me with a problem i have please? ive lost all boost, one minute it was fine and the next it wouldnt spool up?

 

the car runs fine no smoke e.t.c ive checked all the pipes to make sure there tight but still no joy..

 

Any help would be great thanks :(

Only guessing but maybe one of the waste gates stuck open on the turbos? popped a spring maybe?

When you say the car runs fine, do you mean that ? Is it just the boost gauge that isn't working ?

Does gauge sit at zero,if so could be intercooler pipe come off.

yer the guage sits at zero, ill check the intercooler pipe work aswell as the standard recerc valves. it does seems like a pipe has come off or split, normally with a siezed turbo you would have some warning.

best ya your intercooler pipes come off mate !! exactly same happened to me in a few of my tubbed cars with exactly same symptoms , Check al pipes carefully and u will notice one loose i bet.

I really hope it is a pipe but there was no warning when I had a siezed turbo, just zero boost and the needle only went to 0.

I had same prob the other day. it was just one of the small pipes popped off the balance bar. check them all.

Thanks for all your help people ive tried all the advise. It looks like ive got a dead turbo. :( how much can i pick up a standard set for?? funds are a bit tight ive just moved house :(

sorry to hear that bud, wish I was wrong :( You've got to weigh it up if it's worth putting secodf hand tubs on as you're paying £600 odd to have the engine pulled.
