I thought that when you set up the sale you could ban any overseas buyers? I know what you mean they are a pain in the butt. They aint the only ones niether.

Makes me mad too - fekking scamming time wasting :xxx: s.

ย

However there are obviously some real naive sellers out there that still ship to Nigeria otherwise the scammers wouldn't bother trying it on

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Ebay doesnt do anything because they dont give a sh1t basically! Its the same reason why paypal doesnt really offer any support for crap traders!

ย

My experiance of ebay of late has forced a rethink and i suspect over the next few months more people will give up on ebay unless they offer decent people more support

I used to sell a lot on eBay, and had russians doing the same, I got my money back from eBay, but had to wait 7 days. Even though they were trying the well known western union scam eBay won't take any real action and hate it if you dare to use words like report it to the police, bad press is bad news for eBay.

there is a clouse in thier contract that allows you to re-list

Post an empty box to them and put a high value on the box. Get him to pay the tax on it....

lol - good idea ;)

ย

Ive now added no overseas bidders - way round that tho is they can register over here then still get it shipped over there.

ย

You can relist, yes, but its a ballache and you have to wait 7 days, update countless ebay policies etc etc etc

ย

May try the empty box trick tho - how do I get them to pay tax? Do I just send the box off?

Nigeria - now there's a country that needs a firewall around it: to keep their internet traffic away from the rest of the world rather than filtering everybody else's traffic out. Not being racist, but I'm pretty sick and tired of these scams as well, many of which seem to originate from there. All eBay needs to do is set up some sort of black list with the IP address subnets in Nigeria and just ignore the lot.

I've had this problem a few times but there's sod all you can do about it other than report them and wait to be credited your fees.

I've had UK registered buyers win items then mail me asking for it to be shipped to their daughter at university in Nigeria many a time :xxx:

ย

I did have one case where a newly registered user in Nigeria bought an item but shortly after eBay sent me a warning mail and cancelled his bid, so they are trying by the look of things.

I've had this problem a few times but there's sod all I can do about it other than use viagra and get them to go down first on their knees.

I've had UK registered buyers and 70 year old honeys mailing me asking for it. Even to slip it to their daughter at university who's Nigerian many a time :xxx:

I don't think we needed to know that Chris

ย

He didn't mean Fooking Nigerians
