resonator removal

on my exhuast coming from the headers etc, there is a section on the pipe that has two resonators, can i remove them both or just one of them without affecting the backpressure on the turbos? i can understand having one resonator on single out pipe before the silencer but there is two on this bugger!!! must have been too loud before prehaps?

 

im sure mine has got cats still on also.

    Hi Mate,

     

    If you mean the bulges in the downpipes, right after the turbos, then you may be referring to the additional cats which were added from around 93 if I remember correctly.

    nope this is a 1990 swb and the exhaust system is a kakimoto racing pipe system, the two bulges are resonators.
