...until the suckers drop off :D lol

Well at least that will make for a real action shot! With a bit of luck I can capture my zed speeding off into the sunset!

Nice thought!

Followed by your camera me thinks LOL. Please,Please dont fit the suckers over the body join.I would attach a cord incase it pops off Bud.

Can you do stills with that set up?

I've worked with professionals and that's how they get some of the best shots - they call these 'bolt on shots'.

Amazingly some cover pics are taken like this at walking pace on really long exposures.

You can also do great 'tracking' shots when one car follows the camera car VERY close and the camera's pointing back towards it. You need a very wide angle lense (20mm) to capture the speed rush.

But if you'ce seen Car magazine's front covers (probably the best automotive photogrpahy in the country right now), that's how they do it. Sometimes the car is just pushed round a corner and the pic looks like it's doing 100mph!

You'd need a remote shutter release though.

Lots of fun but can be dangerous / illegal.

Gaffa tape over the suckers gives extra security. If it does pop off, you don't want it bouncing about against your car.

Hi mate, yes I can do stills as I have a mini DV digital camcorder, so I can use a frame grabber for a perfect still image.

I have had a bad experience with gaffer tape on paintwork (if anyone has seen my A posts on my zed you will see why) so if the camera falls off, it falls off. I went for a proffesional set up which will take cameras up to 5kg up to 165mph or a bullet cam up to 200mph so there is actually very little chance of problems. I am pretty sure my digital still camera has a lanc connection for remote use too, for cool over exposed pics.
