Well, surprise, surprise two months later and after loads of delay tactics for one reason or other I STILL DON'T HAVE THEM!!! :rant:

 

He's told me that he'd pick them up from the place making them quite a few times and three weeks ago I was the last one on the list and he'd be picking mine up that Monday, no e-mail to confirm. So I e-mailed him, he told me he couldn't get hold of the place so would try again later in the week, nothing again!

Two weeks ago he said that they'd be shipped middle of last week, I heard nothing, so e-mailed him again last Friday! NOTHING, no reply at all! I've sent him another e-mail tonight, and if i don't get a reply I'll be posting on 300zxclub.com regarding that he's a lieing thieving bar steward,who takes money and doesn't deliver the goods!!

As you can imagine I'm not happy, as I've put up with a lot of excuses and 'put-off' tactics, and now not even replying to my e-mails is really p1551ng me off totally :rant: (Incidentally, he was on-line on 300zxclub today! So i know he's about.)

Keep sending him shed loads of f*****g big emails, pictures etc, anything to fill his mailbox up, and send them all the time. Give us his email address and we'll all send him piles of emails, plus perhaps a virus or two.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel.......

I now have a tracking number from him for USPS, and it's been sent and is currently in Cleveland, Ohio! Well I'll let you know how it goes. If they turn up as fast as my Courtesy order just has, then I could have them for next weekend :dance:

 

At the end of the day this is all I ever wanted out of this, them being shipped to me. :)

always a worry when ordering from abroad, it so easy to get ripped off, and when a mishap does occur, its so easy to think you have been ripped off too quickly.

If they take a little longer and just turn up in time for JAE, then I'll bring them down with me, but I'll see how soon they turn up, as I want to get on with the prep work and may have them away for chroming ;)

:shock: Apparently it's £44 customs charges!!!! Interesting as the total price I payed, including shipping, was only £113! I'm currently trying to sort it out, but after spending 20 mins on the phone (at a 0870 premium rate number from a mobile) and I was still on hold, I got nowhere! So I've e-mailed them and am waiting to see what happens next.

Is there anyway that you can dispute customs charges? As I have the original PayPal receipt, would they accept that as proof of the cost? I suppose it goes down as to what is written on the label.

To be honest mate, that's not far off.

Usual fees for 113 quid would be approx 22-25 quid, then on top of that is often a handling fee from the 3rd party who deliver it which is approx 10-15 quid + vat.

Best option is to pay it and wait for the reciept to come through which breaks down how the fees are made up and from what base figure, then you can dispute it.

Well they need some work, well quite a bit actually, but they will be worth the wait once they are done.

 

The XENON on the lefthand (right on pic) insert is damaged in the mould, so is useless to me, shame as I wanted these still showing!

 

I seem to have acquired a couple of headlamps as well :D Thanks very much to Mark and Martyn for those, it was a nice trip out today picking those up :bow:

Yep you'd better, as he's been telling me that I was the last on the list!! Also hope you don't get stung for the duty on them ;)

Incidentally, he has quoted on the parcel that they are worth $150, and the shipping cost him $35.50.... I paid him $203, which doesn't add up :rolleyes:
