I hated it.

Good.All auto's i have had i have fitted it,just fitted one to my latest Z and got 0.8 sec improvement at Santa Pod. :)

i read that they cause premature wear on the gearbox, is this true?

just make sure your autobox is in good nick before fitting. i lost half me gears a few months after using the ALC2. damn good fun tho :dance:

think i'll give it a miss.

If you have problems then your box was already worn - look at how many standard ones fail every week.

 

A lot of people say it actually improves the life of the box as there's less slip going into each gear and therefore less wear.
