Has anyone ever removed the chrome trim forom their 309's?

As my chrome is knackered and shows this weekend I was gonna remove it but am scared with what I'll be left with on wheel?

Wondering whether I'll be able to clean up the alloy itself or just leave chrome trim on and grin and bear it

Can you not buy new chrome trims? Ive got the same wheels and it would be nice to know if the trim can be replaced..

about £90 each trim (10Jx18) delivered. 2 weeks wait though and I wanted to tidy up wheels for show this weekend

Jay,

I deal a lot with Ferrari & NSX owners with Antera wheels and it is "highly" recommended that you get a professional company to remove the chrome trim as you're likely to knacker the locking mechanism without the correct tools. A decent alloy shop should be able to help you. I now know of at least 7 owners with knackers 309's because they had a go at it themselves.
