depends if your going to be driving much at night ..personally i stay home and watch TV .....for the odd occasion i do drive when its dark then normal headlights are fine with uprated lamps ....HID is a lot of money for the pose factor .......in my opinion a good mod but far too expensive for the use you would get out of it ....if you are going to get some then chris at Getgreddy on here does them , so do z-center i think

I think Danny at DTA does them too.

Dont forget too clean the inside of your headlights before fitting them. That way you'll get the bets out of them and wont dazzle on coming drivers. Try cleaning them and just add uorated bulbs, you'll be supprised at the difference! :)

Ive been advised to clear my headlights as i cant see the bulb within the inner glass lens..thingy. I have hids and they dont make much difference but hopefully cleaning the headlight insides should help.

Cleaning the inside of the headlights will ALWAYS make a difference. If nothing else your light beams will be far more focussed (as dirt build-up scatters light) giving the impression of more light output onto the road.

As for HID kits - yes, plenty of people have done this and the result has always been positive. Some of my customers have even bought additional kits for their other cars!

Installation is dead easy and will probably only take about 15~20 minutes (it's the cleaning up of the headlights that takes the longest).

I [DTA-UK] sell a lot of HID kits (all bulb fitments available). If you want to have a chat about them give me a call on 07044 016586 - I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Our kits may be a little more expensive than others but they are one of the best kits you can buy (this has been independently confirmed by various consumer magazines both in Europe and the US). Our kits are E-marked, carry full CE certification and are fully road legal in the UK and Europe.

Dan

how do you go about cleaning the lights do you have to take them apart

Take the headlights off the car, remove the metal clips holding the glass on, then heat up the mastic that also holds the glass in and try to prise them apart, thats the hard bit, once apart clean everything up inside, apply new mastic put glass back on with the metal clips and refit to car.
