a smithy big brake kit

Hoping it will arrive before this weekend so i can get on and fit it on sat/sun.

Ive never done any kind of brake work before, but smithys guide should help.

Am i mad for attempting this on my driveway with normal kind of tools? Any "gottchas" people noticed from fitting the kit before? Im so looking forward to getting the better braking performance!

You'll be fine mate. Just make sure you can jack the car up properly as you may need a bit of leverage to get the caliper bolts undone and don't want a zed falling on your noggin. Other than thats its pretty straight forward as if you are just moving the calipers you wont have to do any bleeding. Saying that it is recommended as just bleeding the brakes and replacing the fluid can make a big difference to brake performance.

Ive got some goodridge hoses and high spec brake fluid waiting to go in aswell (on a bit of a braking mission!), but waiting for goodridge to sort thier lives out as the kits dont fit properly
