Cobra alarm/fascia replacement help

Hi guys hope you can help me out here! I have a replacment plastic surround for the dials (the bit the lights and ac controls bolt to and has the autobox light and Hicas warning lights etc. on) as whoever had the car before me wrecked the original!

 

Anyhow went to replace it last night and realised that the immobiliser LED is fitted from the front and there are no connectors on the rear to remove and the cable seems to run through the bulkhead to the alarm system. Question is can I cut these wires to this LED and re-join them without sending the imobiliser into some sort of safety mode or just screwing it completely?
