i have had a zx before i know they arnt this slow.

THE PROBLEM

when i put foot down and reach up to the last revs. the car stops accelerating, so i let go of accelerator and it starts back moving past 100mph very slow.

Does anyone know the soloution to this.

also my hicas light flashes sometimes.

WHY WOULD A ZX HESITATE AND STUMBLE AT TOP SPEED.....

Featured Replies

Does this happen for the top speed in all gears? If it's just 5th gear I know this may sound silly but could it possibly be the japanese speed limiter?

Is it speed or throttle position causing the hesitation? Might be the throttle position sensor as mine hesitated with WOT at all speeds. Just cleaned the connectors and all was fine. HTH
