Needed to make a claim on my insurance for windscreen yesterday, MOT due in 3 weeks. Insured with Adrian Flux through the club. Only to find out today that the maximum ammount they will pay for is £500 and the windscreen costs over £1300!! What the hell do I do now?

You lot had better check your policies as I am rather annoyed, but I guess you get what you pay for.

cant you get a second hand screen. i did and it cost me £60.00 fitted. dont see why you need a £1300 windscreen?

Can do if you got any idea where to get one. Will the insurance pay for that?

i really dotn know i just paid out of my own pocket didnt see the point of involving the insurance company for such a small claim/amount of money? you could ask!

maybe get a quote for a UK screen?

Yup, sounds like they have quoted you on a screen for an import, the UK one will be cheaper but the wrong tint.

I'd call another windscren company mate!

 

£1300 seems very high - I'd have thought no more than half that, even for a J-spec car :eek:
