Ok, today was the day that i finally took the zed to a specialist.

I took it to Jeff at Zedworld, I have to say what a good bloke he is, and not to forget his son either, another top lad.

 

He's sorted my idle issues out, temp sender, gave the zed an assesment and conzult, boost leak check, throttle balance, timing, base idle.

Also looked at my oil leak.

 

He also done a compression test for me.

the result started off looking mint,

cylinders 1 & 3 both came out at 160psi :D , number 2 then came out at 165 :hyper: (all still looking mint).

Then we get to number 4 :confused: and would anyone like to take a guess as to what it was?????

I couldn't beleive my eyes. ive never seen compression so low before :( ,

 

Cylinder 5 was 158 and 6 was back up at 160.

Anyway thanks again to Jeff for all of his time and hard work, definately be going back with my business (which will be alot knowing my zed :rofl: )

 

Still a real shame he's not here any longer, i have to say i think the club is missing out :(

Well someone had to have lol, i think mines been the worst zed ever so far.

I cant even buy parts that aren't working properly and now im just pissed off. :rant:

I just want the car too be fixed.

Well mate i take me hat of to yer, you've had nowt but bad luck since day one, thrown some serious cash at it and yer still on good form :bow: am sure everyone on here will agree, fair balls to yer bud :)

Now that you seem to have sorted the niggly problmes out and know whats up with this engine, you really need to sort the final chapter of this saga out and recoup some cash to get yerself back on track again.

If this engine came from a trader here, hopefully you've asked Mac/Shunter for help, if so and things ain't getting resolved within a reasonable time frame, i strongly suggest small claims court on line, an easy process for around 50 quid which you get back if you win. Sit down and think excatly how much this has cost you besides the engine cost and start proceedings, if he is on this forum, let the committe know and show them proof you have started a case and they should take the appropriate action against him/her themselves.

Hopefully you'll end up with some cash back to make you a happy Zedder and the other person concerned will be more helpful when things go wrong in the future !
