Job for this weekend is to replace my rear shocks and the hicas arms. Does anyone have any experience of these jobs that would like to share any tips? It doesn't look too technical, maybe just a time consuming job. I am also guessing that I will need to get the rear wheels aligned after fitting the hicas arms?

Thanks for any pointers

Have done the rear shocks before, it is time consuming, mainly because of having to take out half the boot panels! just make sure you've got all the screws and bolts undone before you pull them out or youll crack them - like i nearly did!

after they're out its fairly straightforward.

I have to do the hicas arm over the weekend and it looks like the near side back box is coming off

Hicas arms - you need to lock up the opposite side to the one your removing or it just spins in the rack, count the turns of the end to get it back in approx the same place then get it aligned.

rear shocks, as said not too bad with the rear trims out of the way, you can just about get all the lower fixings of the trims then lift them out of the way to get to the top shock mounts.

spring compressor is then needed to get the mount off & swapped over to the new shock
