Take a look at both pics,turbos arrived today and just need quick bit of advise, the bolts with the asterix next to them were loose and i mean i could undo them with my fingers the other two were tight.On the other turbo all four bolts were tight,now i asume all these bolts should be tight am i right?also the last pic of the blades do standard turbos have blades that look like that?more to the point how do i no if these are built to stage 2 hybrid specs?

one more thing dont laugh at my attempt to draw arrows LOL

my opinion would be NO, they should all be tight, why have bolts and NOT tighten them, no point is there....

 

i know what i'd do if it was me, i'd ring the place u got em from, ask for their opinion, and if they advise just tightening them up ask them for that advice in writing, with some form of guarantee....

 

im no expert on turbos but maybe if you post up the numbers on the housing people may be able to help..

that is the bolts so you can rotate the turbo,in other words clock it to the ideal position,obviously the supplier has forgot to retighten them after clocking them to the correct angle for the 300zx,just retighten them,but trial fit them and make sure the turbo elbow does not catch against the rocker covers or cylinder head!or stick out at the incorrect angle for the intercooler pipe to sit in elbow

What those fine people said ^^^. Don't worry there's a massive circlip underneath that holds them together. It aint going no-where without some serious effort!
