Big thankyou to Dave Buckley!

You guys won't know who I am on about and I hope he reads this. On the one hand Nelson Main Dealers are nothing short of fucking wank to be honest! Like my ordeal a few weekends ago.

However, this guy ran a Consult test and looked at the shite condition of my wiring loom eons ago not long after I bought the car.

He used to work for Nissan in Abergele and Shaunmac knows who I am rattling on about. Anyway, he got promoted, his words not mine, and is now working for Skoda! LOL biggrin.gif To be honest I think he's right! wink.gif

He's always had a healthy fetish for the 300 even though he drives a Micra...LOL...bless him!

What can I say? TOP BLOKE! wink.gif

I spoke to him last week about my oil leak and fitting my new oil pressure sensor. As soon as he heard it was on a 300 he purked up and was mad for it.

So I roll over to pick the part up today, drive round to the Skoda bays and say hi to Dave. He remembers me from our first meeting, I ask him if he wants me to bring the car back at his convenience as he's working! No he says, bring it round, so I take the car round, he admits that he's never changed one on a 300 but gets the car straight up on the lift and does the biz.

10 minute job is close to what you guys were saying but my phuket sensor was a bit of a twat for Dave to get off.

Anyway, the main man changes me sensor, downs the car, starts her up and it is still leaking! FFS!

He points out that the housing on the inline oil pipe is a bit rank and might need replacing!

But this post isn't about fixing the problem, no, it's about a guy who used to work for Nissan. Who drops everything to help us guys out to the best of his technical ability! FFS! He spent a good hour arsing about with this job but wasn't even gonna charge me!

Bunged him some beer tokens for his valuable time.

FFS! Why can't all Nelson guys be like that. 10 outta a massive 10 to this guy!

He even gave me some gen Nelson sealing stuff and a washer for me next oil change for the sump nut! LOL biggrin.gif

Dave I salute you my friend!

Top banana!
