Rides pictures

How do you get the rides section to display the pictures you upload rather than just listing them?

umm tried it and it didnt exactly work. I created the index.htm on my pc and inserted pictures. When I uploaded the index.htm file and looked at it from rides all of the pictures were blank? How do i get the references in the htm file to point to the pictures in the rides section?

I have recently just had the same problem. I no sweet fa about html etc but managed to put together a very basic page in word. Saved it off as an html file and ended up with a new folder containing all the pics and am html file linking to it. Since there are no separate folders in the rides section that was about as far as I got.

Here guys copy and paste the below into notepad or similar and replace filename.jpg with your image filename.

Call it index.htm and upload to your rides area.

If you wish to add more pics simply copy the image line and rename the filename.

Got it sorted. If you use word to create the index.htm file everything you insert gets saved into a sub folder. This is not use for the rides area. So after 30mins playing around I opened up MS Frontpage and started again. Adding the text is easy same as word. When you want to insert pictures however this is what I did. Rather than inserting the pictures I wanted to link them to the ones I had already uploaded to the rides section.

Insert, Picture, From File.

A couple of windows open up, the one in front only allows you to browse your local hard drive, so cancel that one and the one behind it now appears.

I had uploaded a few pictures to the rides section and one by one I entered the links to each one in to this window. eg. http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/jvnewcomb1961/jn_300zx_front_1.jpg

The mistake I made was naming the pictures in such a crappy way, but I will keep the names shorter next time.

I am sure that someone more technical can come up with a better way of doing this but this worked for me and I have what i wanted. If this helps anyone great, if not I am just very pleased with myself for sorting it out.
