Power steering works fine, light as a feather for about 30 seconds from start up then goes heavy. Any ideas welcome..

my power steering is never light as a feather, would say there is always a fair amount of pressure to steer

What makes you say speed sensor?

 

Also the car is a Jap N/A so has no hicas..

Sorry for the long dealay in replying, had a wee ban!!!

 

I didnt know yours was na, so that rules the hicas out.

 

Mine had the speed sensor go quite a long time ago, and that made the steering go light then heavy intermitently.

 

In theory it should be light when stoppd or slow and heavier at speed, but its the speed sensor that dictates this.

Its gonna be your MPH/KPH converter, presuming you have done that! :)
