Yes that time that some owners get at some point-the dreaded "i think i might sell the z" has been in my head the last few days.

The Z is a fantastic car but i want something i can tinker with if you catch my drift.i havent got the room and the knowledge to pull the VG30Dett (just to see how it works lol)

I used to moan about always being under the bonnet of my MK1 escort 3 years ago but to be honest- i miss it. :(

Not the Mk1 lol -just being able to pull an engine in a few hours and do everything myself.

Ive got a Mk1 Eunos roadster sitting there unloved for the last 2 years with only 30k on the clock with an engine bay cleaner than what it was when it left the factory.Just the appeal of being able to set the car up for track by myself it very alluring.

Please tell me im going mad :o

you must be mad

at the end of the day it's just an engine,a little cramned in but still a engine.

just use your mazda while your doing the work on the zed

Just an engine mate! Why not just have a go if you miss it? I rebuilt my first zed with absolutely no mechanical experience :mac1: It started straight away, i was amazed lol It went again three months later but still I learned a lot!

I feel the same every other day. To be honest, if I had to choose again, it DEFINATELY would not be a Zed. But I'm lumbered with it now and I'm having the engine rebuilt, so will see how I feel when I get it back.

What pisses me off, is the fact that I spent ages looking for a good one and paid good money, I bought the best standard one I could find, not an cheapo ebay shitter and yet I still had to go and rebuild/replace everything.

A standard zed is 16yrs old Si! Yours is nice though, get a new engine sorted and you'll love it again. Dave

Mate, you know what I think about this...

But seriously, you've already put in a bit on the Z, but go with what you really feel will give you the most satisfaction day in day out. :D

If you feel strongly about the ZX, then stick with it because thats what will get you through those days when somethings needs doing...(Although a deep wallet can always aid in that department too LOL)

Unfortunately one of them has to go.

i could just leave it to fate by putting both up for sale and whichever one goes first will be the one that goes obviusly lol
