Got my zed, subscription cheque in post, need to start planning. My aim is to have, maybe not THE fastest, but one of the fastest around.

Engine is ready in the garage, small block Chevy, 6.3litre stroker, Vortech supercharger, water/methanol injection. Was in my Granada till I blew the pistons.

Was gradually increasing the boost when the pistons went. Got to 7psi which is probably about 450fwhp.

Will be able to get an intercooler in this time. No room in Granny.

This fits into a Tremec TKO500 5 speed box.

Question is, what else will need upgrading?

Someone on here said the tt diff would take 1000bhp?

What about the prop?Anyone broke one of these?

The shell doesn't seem very stiff either. Anyone gone completely mad and welded up the targa tops or stiffened the shell any other way?

Ta!

Never heard of the prop failing through power, but there are 1 piece carbon versions available.

Roll cage, seam welding and Foam injection would be ideal for Chassis stiffening.

The guy who built the zed I looked at today said he was going to do the targas but it wasn't practical in the end, end he was spending big bucks as well. He ended up doing a very impressive full roll cage (from safety devices but fitted by his garage). Dave
