watched it, thought for a change the first half looked convincing but man what happened in the second? Im no football manager but it just didnt work for us when owen went off... lets hope thurs is better than today was

we were rubbish to put it lightly, we did alright but sweden and tobago were playing well and clean today. we really have to pick our act up if we want to get through to the semis.

 

To be honest though it was boiling hot, we're playing at 5 and eight for the next two matches so we should play better

Saw the Argentina game later on, their defence look the business compared to Paraguay's so they gotta improve.........

Don't trust any ref that looks like a pizza salesman. England don't open tournaments well. So lets be happy that they played badly (second half) and won - the trademark of championship winning teams. I'm kinda glad they didn't play really well and get all the hype up.

It'll be easier now we don't have to play any more games in the early afternoon. I thought some of the passing was pretty woeful (Gary Neville mainly), but I suppose that they at least looked pretty solid at the back.

 

I'm sure we'll play better than that in the tournament, but it doesn't alter the fact that Sven is still a liability and although I think we can still win it, we'll have to do it despite him rather than because of him. :headvswal

Yes we played like a bunch of tw@s but we still got three points against a stubborn team WITHOUT Rooney.God knows why he played Hagreaves though.

svens tactical decisions are woefull, 4-4-2 to 4-4-1-1 with no one to drop off crouch--wtf.Move joe cole into a attacking role and then bring on owen hargreaves who is a holding player--no wonder we lost our shape in the second half.

he cant cut it at the top, owen should have stayed, crouch played well but what can he do when no1 is running on to the headers? nothing thats what.

 

personally i would have brought crouch off and brought on walcot or defoe sum1 with pace and moved cole up, after 70 mins there is nothing worse than a fresh pair of legs running at a full back, i used to play sunday league at left back and its a nightmare lol

Have the say, crouch's footwork for a drainpipe cleaner is pretty awesome, with the right support he's going to be a strong player in the team, got to stop leaning on the back of the opponents shoulders though lol

 

Overall we were better than usual but hope we can keep up with tobagos pace and sweden's brutal attacks.

 

And at least it was a draw sweden-tobago so we only have to win one match to go through

Typical England performance - Went from good to naff. But in some ways Paraguray was the ideal team to start the world cup against, good but not as good as England.

If England dont win the group though they should be horse whipped.

was good to see them get under way with a win:)

we all KNOW they can play better, so hopefully they will reach their peak in about 4 weeks, there has been some good looking teams played so far

but are they capable of more? or playing to their limits now?
