Well im just about at my wits end now, im almost ready to sell my zed and buy a skylark GTR. After spending over a grand on the old girl in a month and needing another £460 spending on rear tyres and a couple of hundred for my front....... oh whatever they are!!!!
Driving along today, bit late on the way to see a dog about a man so giving her a good runting. All of a sudden as if by magic something very strange happened, my brakes went really soft-i had to push really hard to stop and the gearbox would not peform 'kickdown' properly, it just stayed in 3rd!!!! (ok in overdrive though). A bit further along the journey and after the engine had been off and on again, it was completely normal, as if nothing had happened!!!!!
After sorting out my days business i got back in me zed and tootled off down the road..........CUE-lots of swearing and sweat! It was running in safety boost!!!!!! FFS!!!!! by now i was about ready to cry my little eyes out!
Suddenly-hmmmmmm its all ok again, kickdown as normal boosting ok but wait whats this??? after lifting off the throttle the rev needle was bouncing round like a twat between 1500 and 2000 revs!! DARN IT! (JOHN DOREY-TIMMY TURBO, ANDY DUFF!! ) not only that but my lovely HKS blow off valves had gone all quiet!!!
After all this ull never guess what....... yup u guessed it it all went back to normal! When i got home it was tickin over awfully high. Took it out again tonight and she was sweet as....erm...a really sweet....thingy! - well apart from a wierd smell but she tends to do that sometimes!
Now question is, are all these problems realated or........... by some mechanical freak have they all happened at once, or.......... has one of these triggred them all??? Well ive completely confused myself just thinking about it and the engines only done about 20k since a full re-build new turbos, gearbox, blah blah blah!!!!
OOOHHH now its time for the biggy!!! (question that is!) Should i sell or should i keep???
