Need your help guys

 

Ive got a Uk spec Z, a scarab front bumper and a towing eye still in tact.

When trying to fit the bumper the towing eye is getting in the way.

 

Way I see it Ive got 3 options

 

1) Cut it off

2) Heat it and bend it

3) Modify the bumper

 

Anyone else has similar trouble and if so what did you do?

Don't put the scarab bumper on! Doesn't match the car at all unless you're fitting side skirts, smoothing the swage line and modding the rear bumper, not to mention all the rolls of mesh you'd have to fit behind it.

I cut my towing eye off, and pray it never breaks down!!

Would it still be usable if you bent it?

If so, that would be the best option surely.

anyway as for the towing eye i cut mine through about 50% of the diamater and bent it out of the way, so at least if you ever change back from a scarab you can pull it back into place and weld it ;)

Fas's problem was where to put a custom towing eye. I presume it had been removed.

 

What i wanna know is what to do with the original. :)

Im gonna have to disagree with you there Si, chunks zed right in this thread is a good example. And probably the best looking zed ive seen, that used to belong to Tony Lack had only Scarab bumper and tailgate skin, no skirts and it looks top notch. Scarab is deffo going on mine some day, maybe impul skirts too (that means you Vini ;)).

Mine is a Scarab f/bumper and yes, bend it back so if you do have to be towed you can still access it by pushing the mesh out of the way.
