inserting pics and sigs

How do you get a picture inserted into a post? And how do you craet a signature with a picture on it.

Featured Replies

click on the 'profile' link and follow the instructions.

for ideas, goto the test forum and select 'edit' on any message you like the look of. You'll be given the code and can use it for your own signatures.

Don't forget, you need to upload the picture first.

I've been trying to do this for ages... I've uploaded a couple of Pics, but how the hell do you get them in your signature....????

Assuming that my signature works totday this is how I did the signature/picture.

I uploaded the thumbnail picture I wanted to use to my web site file manager and copied the link to it.

Go to your profile, link at top right of pages.

In the Signature box I entered:

jn300tn.jpg

John Newcomb www.geocities.com/jn300zxtt

No one has said how you insert a picture into the body of a post message itself. Loads of people are doing it but how? Do you use the same syntax as above for that as well? Umm I am going to try that in this message and see if it works.

So if a large picture of my car appears then that syntax worked too. God this is too techy.

You need to upload the pictures to you folder on 300zx.co.uk access this through the edit ride link.

Once uploaded you can create a link to it like this:

car.jpg

Obviously you will need to substitute steve.r for your folder name and car.jpg for your picture name.

Note I deliberately left a gap between car.jpg and [/img] so the picture would not display, do not put in the gap ie car.jpg[/img]

If done correctly your picture will display

car.jpg

You can set up your signature via the profile link and use the same syntax.
