Fcuking hell mate - what did you use to cut them? A brick?

Only joking - looks like good progress there. Must be great to be doing it yourself too. Tyre pressures and scren wash are about as much as I do.

Ohh, brave man ! PaulG was telling me about doing his. It's important to ensure that you don't have a big lip inside the wheel arch, other wise the new tyres may rub, especially if it's lowered.

LOL - I'm joking mate - looks quite a tidy job.

i know you were bud, it does look better in the flesh (or metal lol) than it does in the pics :smash:

i think ive earned myself an unhealthy stella, and a frey bentos pie with taty's, peas, carrots and gravy....bit or a random sentence, but what the hey....

I did wonder if I had done the right thing, when I saw my car in that condition. Good luck with the work. Hope it doesnt take as long as mine has/is lol

I think it's probably better not to know what happens when these arches are fitted!! LOL.

bottom straps were the easiest, it was all the little bolts along the inside of the boot, some were rusted, had to take a hammer and chisel to them lol

Hmmm i like that its a very American style A lot of rods etc done in similar style.

Will look good when finished

great work for 1 afternoon mate, keep it up I'll be round tomorrow :duffer:

You must have got some looks doing that. I can just see it in the local paper tomorrow: "Man loses plot and takes angle-grinder to prized sports car." Nice one.

Dont know if you know bud but the standard bumper is too short if you stretch it out to the wide arches, it dosent come right up to the wheel arch, this is how i did it.

You can see how the bumper is short

I made a steel mesh frame

3.jpg

Add lashings of fibreglass

4.jpg

Made a metal plate for the inside and glassed it in place

5.jpg

Blended and sanded

The finished job. Cheaper and nicer than the strosek bumper in my opinion.

Gimme a shout when u need any help.
