looks like a taxi with that bonnet, it not that stylish imo

and a starting bid of 71/2 k might be a bit over eager for a H plate???

There's some serious money spent on that. There's not many Zeds that good around. It looks like a serious track car with the roll cage, etc. AP racing brake setup costs thousands, presumably he has the receipts for the engine work which is also thousands, all the running gear uprated. Looks pretty amazing to me. I'd say it would be a good buy at that price. Dave

ps - you lot are so bloody critical, even a (very nice) zed comes on and it still gets slagged down!! LMAO!!!

I sent the guy a message saying he should join, even if it is just to sell his zed. Always good to have a serious zed here.

edit - in fact I really want this car! If it is everything it says it is then someone really ought to buy it. Is there anyone up in sheffield/S Yorkshire who knows the car?

the seats alone are worth £1500. I quite like it, but the rear light conversion doesn't go with the rest of the car.

I can't stop looking at it! Its had thousands spent on it. Uprated everything and looks like its been done professionaly. Its pretty much the ultimate track Zed. You'd have to spend a hell of a lot to make a car like that.

edit - Maybe I'm getting carried away but if I could sell my zed today I'd go out and buy that one. Its my ultimate zed!

I know the car its one that PeterR built it has had a serious ammount of money spent and is a real quick car, It sounds expensive but its a gift if it goes for anything under 10K.

Mate , I've just had a very long chat with the owner, seems like a nice bloke. He really has done everything with it. He's in the motor trade and kept undercover at his work but has now moved jobs to a dealership and can't get access to it at all hours and hasn't got the time to spend on it. The chassis has done 99k when they took they engine out. He got the billet crank, rods, jun pistons put in first in yr 2000 (bullet proof internals). That has done 6500miles in all. It got run in with torque development stage 1 tubs until 2 yrs ago when it had the top done and tubs changed to HKS and got S-E nissan to do the top end, ported, bigger throttle bodies, solid lifter, etc. It then got the Motec management tuned by John Noble racing engines. The AP racing brakes have done 4500miles. Its got huge power at only 1.2 bar and would only really need bigger injectors to be a serious drag car. Rear lights are really a minor detail when you have all that lot matey! not that I mind them anyhow. Dave

Not unless someone wants to buy my Zed lol. Mines had a lot of what thats had done anyhow but that looks like a serious beast. I think I would buy it if I could shift mine though. He says its very reliable and still sensible to drive. My zed is so reliable and bullet proof that It would feel like a lottery buying a new one again though! The guy said he had a brief case full of all the receipts.

edit - just confirmed the current owner/builder with Mac. Wonder if I should put mine up for sale? They don't exactly sell fast at the moment though!

Yes but yours is a very good car yet another built by PeterR   I can't see you having any problems shifting a good one.

God! I'm thousands overdrawn as it is. Will have to think about it and see what interest my zed gets. I know how reliable mine is and need reliability for work, its a shame this one is so far away from me. It just looks such a serious bit of kit though!

Ah feck, the bank has said I can have a loan if I want it! I was almost wishing they'd say no!! Got to think very hard. :) So overdrawn but the loan will pay that off anyhow.

Nervously Dave

Go on buy it! Then I'll be watching out for you testing it on the Lamberhurst Bypass!

You want to buy mine! lol, problem is I'll have two zeds until mine sells. Hopefully at the price though it will shift. I don't want to let it go though either, its been very good to me! Dave
