Safety Boost?

Help!!!

I've got an aftermarket boots Gauge fitted and it measures in Kg/Cm2???????????

And under full throttle the needle stops at 0.5, does this mean my car is in safety boost? and if so what can I do about it (apart from swearing a lot and eventually crying).

Matt - yes that sounds like safety boost - 0.5 ~ 7psi

Check the left hand temperature sensor connection on the top metal hose coming from the front of the engine. Also do an ecu diagnostic to see if there's any error codes... Try these for the diagnostic http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/ECUdiagnostics.html or a little bit more involved http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html .

Matt Im in the same boat at the mo with no error 34 on ECU (kock sensor)

Some one suggested checking your stock boost solenoids are connected (maybe if Jap import boost controller fitted and then removed) - I have hks EVC4 to fit to see if it cures 0.5 kg/cm2 - we ought to have a chat to see if we can sort this out mate, where are you in the UK?

Glen, I usually find my fiancee is quite good at that!

My psychological evaluation is complete.

I knew someone would throw in a cheap-laugh knob gag.

Spot on!!

Glen,

I'm in Crayford in Kent, the sensor at the front of my engine is quite corroded so I'm gonna give cleaning it a go, failing that replace the bloddy thing - bet it costs £102930485.00 plus vat.
