My water pump has just gone pop, shit and steam everywere. Hope i have not cooked it. Got off the road and switched it off asap. Anybody had one replaced and how much did it cost? Mine is an NA so not sure if it is the same as the tt or maybe maxima?

hey, they're actually ok to replace by yourself instead of having to fork out to a garage to replace them and shaft you with a bill $$$$$$$$$.

if you look at the online manual/service help (will try and post a link to it in a a min) it gives you a step by step guide to replacing it.

Thats a very good how to on the water pump, i know the instuctions are for the timing belt but following the first steps on there will tell you how to do the pump.

I can get you an OE water pump through work, about £65 delivered, and ive got in stock so i can post it out tomorrow, give me a call on 02476 474848 or e mail sales@autojapspares.co.uk

i just replaced my water pump but it didnt need it in the end, it turned out to be the hoses just above it so now i got a spare pump, while your at it, it may be worth while changing your cam belt at the same time.

it turned out to be quite easy to do, bit fiddley but got it done.

regards big mo

Cheers guys may take you up on those pumps. Will see what i find tomorrow.
