always adjust it at the wheels first.remove the back wheels and rotate the brake disc so the hole between the studs is about 25 past twelve as if you were looking at a clock.shine a torch in and youll see a toothed wheel.thats your handbrake shoe adjuster.what i do is put your handbrake on two clicks then adjust the shoes till the disc stops .once yove done this if the lever is still too high on the handbrake gaitor is a popper.undo it and below the lever youll see a long threaded shaft with a nut on it.hope this helps.

I've done the star wheel adjustment correctly, but my handbrake still needs 9 clicks for full engagement, so it looks like I need to adjust it at the handle end. How much of the centre console has to come off and where do you start from?

Thanks

David

Just take out the centre consul, the leather gaiter comes off with it.Locate nut on end of cable(very obvious ) Release hand brake and tighten nut. Sorted.

you'll probably find that it's been adjusted all the way at the handbrake end already... put it back to the start of it's adjustment, then adjust at the wheels then you'll have the full range of adjustment at the handbrake again! It'll make sense once you get the console off!
