I'm reasonably up and computers but I know there are some real computer genius's on here so please help....

 

I have a Geforce 6600GT with the most current drivers and Battlefield 2 has just started running like a dog. I have patch 1.3 and have tried re-installing the whole game and the patch. Previously I was running the game on full graphics perfectly. Now it gets all jerky when there is a lot going on.

 

Other than this, my PC is running okay I think. Any ideas what I could try guys?

My brother has just complained of the same thing. before patching to 1.3 it ran perfectly. I guess I need to investigate unless someone else knows the answer :smash:

Ah, thats useful to know. Thanks for that. I have read somewhere that the patch is S**T. Dunno why they make the game worse with patches.

how much system memory do you have?

sounds like the patch mate. whenever a game suddenly slows down on me i check the task manager and see what else is running - has the antivirus decided to do a scheduled sweep? etc.

I have 1gb of ram and a 3.2 pentium processor. It was running ok before the patch so must be that I guess. What a pain!

he has 1gb ram, amd 64 3200 and a 6600GT

I take it that it is the 128 6600GT as you 1GB put the AGP aparature to 256MB

I tried that. Just as bad unfortunately. Hope EA do a quick fix soon :mad:
