Hey guys

I have an HKS BOV on my 91 Auto Twin Turbo. I just noticed today it was not making any noise. Any ideas on why this would happen. I have tried revving the engine in park and letting off the accelorator and still no noise. I have been driving it and given it some foot and let off and no noise.

Any ideas on what would make it stop working.

From what I can see I have 1 on the passenger side and a black cylinder type thing onthe other side.

If its been on there a long time it could be a fooked diaphram inside the Bov,mine went same way(jacks300zx car)on both.

I take it your car is boosting and all hoses/pipes are connected ? Can you here an air wooshing sound when you are accelerating ?

Yes the car is boosting fine and I do hear the turbo noise when accelerating. Any ideas on why I would only have one BOV anyway?

doesnt the Z only boost when in gear? have you tried giving it a good rag then letting off the gas pedal? sorry if it sounds a stupid question.

I explained that in my first post. I have done it in park and while driving just ot make sure. Still no noise.

hmmm i rarely heat a whooshing sound - i must admit i was expecting to hear more when i floor it..

am i missing or have a broken bov ? sorry dont really understand the mechanics..

BOVs are extra. They give the high pitch noise when you let off the accelerator. the whoosh noise or whinning noise is the turbo spooling. Its not super loud so you could miss it if you have a loud exhaust.
