:headvswal Well when i press the brakes, main when stopping slow they creak at the front sounds like bothe sides. like a rusty spring got new pads and discs on, bit strange to explaine like a door creaking slow when you press the brake..any ideas maybe need the break fluid changing or something..any one had this problem.

Mine do it and I’ve got brand new disks and pads, really annoying I just missed the gold Brembos that were up for sale!

It may be just a case of the metal slips/shims between pads are rusty/dry,what i find helped in past is to remove pads and put some copper grease on them,or leave them off alltogether, worth a try.

When I installed my new 324mm disks, I fitted new shims, and copper grease, but stil the creaking noise!

I get this sometimes.

All i can think of is maybe the pistons are getting sticky and not sliding as they should.

Gona change my Disks soon,so will give the calipers a good clean and look over.

mine do this and the car has only done 33k miles. i think the pistons might be sticking.

any idea of price for the caliper overhaul kit?

i'll be changing the pads soon so might aswell do it all together

Mine do it too, my garage told me its worse when the pads are low cos the calipers have to move further but either way, its a pain in the ass, people give me funny looks if i brake down town...

take the pads back out and clean the paint off the edges that locate the pad in the caliper.likewise clean the inside of the caliper.make sure the pins arent corroded or bent.if the pads dont move freely in the caliper they bind causing the creaking noise.any car can suffer with this problem.just because the pads are new doesnt mean they wont do it.pad backs are painted with a thick black paint and sometimes you get paint drips on the edges that need cleaning off.10 minutes per side with a bit of emery cloth, light smear of copper grease and usually problem solved.

Unfortunately due to the nature and speed of the car and the way they are driven. The brakes get so hot it actually melts the protective boots that surround the caliper pistons. This causes pitting and rust to form on the actual pistons. Then when you fit new pads etc and push the pistons back inside past rust, dirt ,pitting etc it causes the calipers to click. The best way around this is to get the calipers overhauled. U could clean the pistons yourselfs as long as your confident on putting them back together and able to bleed brakes properly. pj

stick cotton wool in ya lug ole,s :) ime on my third zed and copper slipped all of em but still creak :headvswal
