My new processor is all up and running, along with the new motherboard. But I have a techy question for anyone who knows anything about these things ;)

 

With the motherboard came a piece of software called Gigabite EasyTune5, on there is an Overclocking utility, within that is the advanced mode.

Under the CPU, FSB it's only showing 202.00, whereas the FSB of my new processor is suposed to be 800. Am I being thick here, or is this not running at the correct rate? If so would it be Ok to increse the setting on the utility upto 800?

check in bios what its running at ,also in if you have a motherboard thats running dual bios make sure the ram is in the correct slots to allow it to run twice the speed if all above ok it should read 800fsb

Thanks Paul, I'll look in the bios as soon as I've finished what I'm doing.

Everything seems to be running OK, but for all this money, I want it running as good as it should be, if you know what I mean :D

Nope 200Mhz for the FSB is correct it uses a X4 multiplier
