Sorry to inform you all, but the forum has now been threatened with legal action due to the nature of post recently by certain members of this forum.

 

This is one of the reasons we have moderators, and why threads/posts are modded.

 

I realise that you cant please everybody, and we all have a view of how things should be done. Sorry, but the rules are clear.

 

We will now be running a zero tolerance on all post's, it is to protect the forum, not because we want to, but because we now have to.

Im not getting involved, im not interested in whats been going on to be honest but if someone is threatening this forum and the people who run it with legal action then surely they have no place left on here. There is one major problem with being sued.

The club forums im involved in with (admin and mod) we have to make sure that we don't upset anyone as we got a letter from a solicitor once luckily the person that posted was not a club member and we managed to prove that it was not the view of the club and that he was a guest and when the post was done no mods where available to delete the post, we still got a slap on the wrist though.

 

 

Put it this way if posts are put on here that bring the club into disrepute, then I would like to see the post gone before it becomes a problem, for all of us.

 

 

 

But with that said, all the paying members of our club got a copy of the letter, and they have the final say we are only in our possitions as mods because the members want us there, but that is our club I don't know how this one is run. :nelson:

this is all fuking stupid in my eyes, were all grown ups here, why the hell should a mod or any other member have the rite to get involved in anyone elses debait with sumone else, i.e traders and so on. if for one second i found out that a trader was talking to other people about me or the buisness i put there way i wud hit the roof, and so wud they.

 

I know we all have our views on stuff and that i understand, otherwise it wouldnt be a forum, but as for legal action, we as paid members have the right to know whats going on, not to be nosey but so either we dont make this mistake or so we dont say the wrong thing to sumone and it all gets thrown up in the air again. what grounds do they have to do such a stupid thing. and how the hell can they do the forum when there are this many members, you carnt do a forum or a club, unless its the actual club thats dun sumthing............... what the fooks happened to this site, it used to be spot on helped me loads of times with problems with the car as well has having a good luagh, and id be on every night(posting or not) but now its getting so crap what with stupid meaningless posts and bickering between each other that i just cant be arsed with it anymore!

I just have to say i think i stand for a great deal of people on this forum when i say

 

If you have a problem with the moderators, take it up with them PRIVATELY

 

If you have a problem with a trader inform the moderators and the trader PRIVATELY, then at some point when its sorted and the moderators say its okay, tell us all about it

 

The community spirit has been sucked out of this club the last week because people are constantly trying to undermine the mods who aren't helping things by provoking these people which leads to more problems

 

Either way i agree the mods are trying to protect the forum from legal action which as a result of some people's comments in public rather than private have been taken against the forum.

 

I'm sure there's a complaints procedure structured away in the site somewhere (probably in the AUP) which tells you how to deal with problems with traders/moderators/etc and you should do that rather than doing what you want, endangering the forum itself from being sued/shut down.

 

I for one don't want to see this as i spend a great deal of time on here, been to a good number of events and think the people i have chatted to and met from here are top people and i'd like to keep it that way.

 

Yes you may feel scorned by traders who you've had problems with or moderators that have deleted your post but the mods have only done this in the best interest in keeping the forum from getting into trouble.

 

If you want to hear all about the back end of what's happening legally then why don't you privately message the mods/secretaries and ask them yourselves rather than just trying to cause a bigger rift between the mods and ourselves, they are after all members themselves and continuing to try and score points against them by placing threads that don't belong on the forum just agravates the situation.

 

If the forum closes down due to being sued then i think whoever's fault it is will not be in anyone's good books.

 

There's a few hundred members on here who don't want the forum to be removed because of one/a few people's opinions and lack of restraint.

 

I'm sorry if that offends anyone and i know it is a pain when someone doesn't give you the service you desire but publicly slating them can have dire consequences and a few words can cause very expensive problems that although don't directly affect you can affect a great number of people.

 

So think before you act.
