for once there were more other colour zeds than red.

I'm glad I went - even tho there were only a few Zeds and the Q for the bar was the longest I've seen since the bar I worked at a Motorhead gig in 19(cough).

 

I could have met up with Leigh for a mini (2 Z) convoy but by the time I noticed him he had already f***ed off into the middle distance not caring a tinker's cuss for the M25 gatsos. I wimped, didn't bother and saved my licence.

 

Must stop listening to Radio 4 - I am sure it puts 10 years on your life and takes 50hp off your motor.

 

Apart from meeting some of the guys, the best bit was not seeing a car I'd prefer to my 300ZX. No seriously. I am impressed and respectful (mostly) of the expertise shown by proud owners. Supras - best US muscle car to come out of the Land of the Rising Sun (and I'll bet they go round corners); GTOs - good Euro sportster: Scoobs & EVOs - Rally supremacists. RX7s can do what Norton couldn't; and Skylines re-wrote most of the rule book. (Look if I missed out your fave - sorry - just write your own compliment here.)

 

But I looked and I looked and I looked and couldn't find anything which had the purity of line, the sleek curves and the all-round beauty of a ZX (especially mine - but don't look at the rear spoiler.). It's a stunner.

Good piccies Gio - mines the first blue one in your photos (parked in the Bus Stop opposite a red Zed).

 

Pity I couldn't stay long, but it was worth the effort. Some lovely cars. I especially liked the S2000 (on big rims), but nothing else looks as good as our Zeds :-)

 

Great to see so many varied cars turn up (except the Astra coupe who didn't have a volume control on his stereo).

 

Wonder what the Bolney locals make of it??

Hi Gio,

You have to make the most of the M25 when its clear!!!!

 

Also the gatsos only work when the speed restriction is on, AFAIK.

 

Anyhow didnt see any flashes, mind you at 120/130mph it might be difficult to notice them. :-)

 

It was a good meet and would recommend it to anyone. Typical weather in the afternoon, however back home it hadnt rained :-(

 

Should arrange a meet in the Slough area if anyones interested.

The Bolney landlord is a real car nut, he has all sorts of owners clubs meet there every year. Ferarri's and Bentleys, etc included. The only problem is that it is in Bolney, if it was run just north of London would we see more 300's turn up to it? But then of course we have the JAE to look forward to.
