Took a look at my autobox sump and it seems to have a sump plug fitted to it, my car is a 91 year and i was told that these didnt have sump plugs fitted so im thinking either later autobox or sump housing...did the later boxes come with a sump plug?

Suppose i will find out when I undo it what it is :nono:

Also is there anywhere that do sump plugs that are mag plugs as well?

Thanks

Mine's a 91 TT Auto and it has one, tucked in the corner!

its a case of some do some don't m8

some were saying na's did tt's didn't on early ones

but others said theirs did, so i don't THINK you

can point at a year and say it will deffo have or not

btw if you are going that far to drain the oil, I PERSONALLY would also drop

the sump, as the metal mesh filter should be cleaned

for the sake of half hour extra a blocked filter could be a nightmare;)

I've got a 92 tt and it has a sump plug. Also having done a box change recently I can tell you that mine had a magnet in it already. It was doughnut shape, but you can only get to it if you drop the sump.

If you do drop the entire sump to check then I'd recommend getting a new gasket (I got one from MJP and it came with a set of new bolts). I also got a new filter and replaced it, although my original was really clean ......... so I kept it as a spare.
