i no whos that was #

nice one bud !!!

It Started a John Dixons motor. Which I have to add he gave me

Unfortunately none of us realizes that a plug had been remove and because it had just sat around for 2 years the bore had corroded quite badly. Which was a pitty as I was just hoping to drop it in and go. It had Only done about 18000 miles. Once I discovered that and knew both engines need a rebuild it was a no brainer as to which one I rebuilt as JD engine had done so little. Then things got out of hand and I've replace just about every moving part aprt from the cams and the Valves.

"daves_new_ZX, JonLowndes101"

I'll clean it regularly and avoid big puddles.

Bloody hell Mark, think I've just gone blind from the shine!

Pleased you got it all sorted now.

So am I. Why did I not go to Phil in the first place. The guy is a star. Every time I go there he's fixed something that was done wrong by you know who or he's made bits to feed pipes and wire through in better places etc. I even said "look Phil I'll sort these things + I don't want my bill to go sky High". He just say no i'l not charge you for that cos ya couldn't put it back together looking like that. What a star.

Everybody I'm glad you like my engine, BECAUSE I LOVE IT :hyper:  :D and I'll post some pic later once all my throttle bodies, CAS and other bit I spent all day yesterday polishing go on.

Is that JD-Z's engine that was up for sale the other week???

I thought that was your engine at first Bird! :nelson:

No it's John Dixons like he said.

Did you get your HICAS sorted or was it the anti roll bars.

Who you getting to repaint it. I know a top guy, Lee at Wrexham Autokraft. + Leigh's (Friday) mate is good from the few bits I've seen of his work. I'm going to Lee at wrexham AutoKraft to have a full respray in Jan and have my explosion wide arches and side skirts fitted. Perhaps we could do a group buy.

Oh yes I nominated myself chairman of the GPS victims asociation and you as Secretary. Now don't get any Ideas

Got the HICAS replaced and it's handling great again. Make sure you get the ball joint replaced that's in the hub as that was the main point of wear on mine. Big job to do though as the hubs have to come off to put in a press :(

Had the Whiteline antiroll bars fitted at the same time and it's improved turn in very nicely but not made a huge difference to the amount of roll - I think that's because of the extra track I already had with the wide arches which transformed the road holding beyond belief.

I've got a mate with a workshop and spray gun which I'm going to borrow :D

He's done some great stuff on his own car and I really can't afford a respray at the mo.

Can't do a worse job than some of the muppets out there and PaulG has inspired me with the job he did himself :)

I've found a local guy for doing some of the paintwork and he's been recommended by a few people I know so going to give him a go if my own attempts aren't up to scratch.

You aint doing this before we go to Germany are you?

I'll be going with scratches chips and all imperfections courtesy of our best mate. Even come to light as I've stripped the ancillaries off my engine that quite a few of the parts I gave him never found their way on to my engine. To the point I'm looking for the warenty form API to check the engine number.

No, just need my sideskirt and front wing repainting after I scraped it on a high kirb and had a blowout taking paint off the arch :(

What ever happened at GPS, Johnny was alway a top bloke when I dealt with him in the past. Fair enough that was ages ago but even so seems weird.
