considering fitting the racelogic traction control as my first mod to my Zed, rather than upping the boost.

whats peoples opinions on the system?

i was out in the car at the weekend and was struggling with it in the wet, the back end was stepping out all over the place and i was taking it easy - driving like a granny!!

traction control can be use for when ever, it has an off setting as well. there are too many Z's that have crashed that could of been avoided, and one not so long ago involving a lamp post. id rather have it than have a lamp post in the middle of my Z

but thats only my opinion

I had this problem, changed tyres , this made a bit of difference, but the problem was the rear shocks ............. completly worn out... changed them and now like driving a different car

Forget traction control untill winter unless you are a girl. These cars are a waste of time in the winter tho.Totally different car in the dry.

its not just the milage to consider, 15 years is a long time , so i would still go for the shocks

You're right - it only rains in the winter in good old Blighty  ;) :D

Seem to be missing the point, anyone who thinks they are, 'A top driver', '300zx is a drivers car', etc, etc. Well done, you obviousley have never made a mistake whilst driving your car at the limit, and I congratulate you!

I personally would like to enjoy my car, whatever the weather, and if that means fitting traction control, as a precaution, then I will. Nothing to do with my driving ability. A bit like wearing a seat belt!!

Got to agree with Shunter, everyone has different driving abilities and we have very differing weather conditions in the UK, dry road with a quick shower can make for trecerous conditions.

If your car is in good condition - tyres, shocks, bushes and alignment and you still want to go for traction control, then no one should call you a girl for wanting to enjoy your zed, without planting it in a ditch.

If it is good enough for F1 cars then it can't be too bad!!

Traction control is indeed a great modification, although I don't have it on my zx.

I did think about it when I first got the car, but I found changing the tyres made so much difference I decided to live without it. BTW mine is a UK car and it was fitted with new Avon ZZ1s when I bought it - I ditched them for new Goodyear GSD3s and the car was transformed

I still drive carefully in the wet of course but if I have felt the need to boot it, it has behaved itself for the last 3 years so far........... ;)

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
