Thinking of getting one as a daily driver/track beast in a few months, has anyone had one before?

Just loosing interest in the maintanence associated with a 13 year old Nissan, it's not the costs but the time spent fiddling all the time. With another baby on the way and moving house into a place needing lots of work I'll have less time than ever.

Makes sense to buy a car that will double up as a family car but which is fun to drive and that I can jump straight in and drive to a track with.

It's shame really as the S13 is driving amazing, is just the spec I wanted it, but all of a sudden I want something different and a bit more sensible. Maybe I'm getting old :p

Spent about £9k on the S13 in just over a year! Wont see much/any return on that :(

Cheers

I much prefer the looks of the 4/5/6 than earlier ones sorry mate :) More hardcore lines :D

I know Simon Norris has a mint 6 for sale in white mate . Immaculate with 30k on the clock think he was after about 10k for her.

Fair bit of kit there mate !! what u recon u would get if u sold ?

Probably not a lot :( Dunno, £3k? Will have to see how much people have been able to sell modded S13s for, but it'll be a bargain to someone :(

Need to sort out an occasional oil drip I'm getting from the back of the engine somewhere but there's nothing else really that needs doing other than sorting a bit of rust by the susp turrets. When I come to sell I'm gonna go over it with a fine toothed comb noting every little scratch etc hehe, I often think a good honest list of faults goes down well in an advert.

come and join team toyota.. better tha n that mitsi rubbish ;)

I thought about it hehe ;) Them GT4's are nice cars

I randomly found an old thread asking me to ring Adam last night, tried to PM you but you're blocking them - what was that about?

i cant do pm's i aint paid up. st205 is the way to go my boy, can be picked up fairly cheap these days.. you know it makes sense. ;) then again i suppose you'll be after a 4 door..bugger.

As for Riley he's got/had a turbo he wants to get shut of, apparently it fits s13's, think he was gonna put it on sxoc anyway, not sure if he's flogged it or not but i think he was going to give you first dibs on it.. But seeing hows youre getting shut then it doesnt matter.

TonyC swapped my car with the guy I got it from for an Evo (crazy bugger, knew he'd come back to Zeds!). :hyper:

That was an old 1 or 2 wasn't it? Maybe Tony fancies an S13 though hehe! :p

Timmy - I'll be your missus if you buy me one :D

That was an old 1 or 2 wasn't it?

Yes EVO1 ,very quick, bit mental, sticks to tarmac like nothing else, felt like i was in a sardine can after 10mins though :D and god it drank fuel, normal i believe, allways filling it up,they have small fuel tanks too.

Hope you find what you looking for Pete.

Tony :)

Wow, a Zed owner driving another car and saying it drinks fuel is quite a statement as well!

yep they drink fuel and have small tanks for weight saving etc,so you think your s13 is thirsty, having said that the evo4 onwards is an allrounder, performance, handling, practical with 4doors,and not bad to look at,if i had the money id buy one ;)

  • Author

Yeah the all-rounded-ness is what appeals Greg :) And back doors too :D

Fuel/mileage won't be too much of a problem as I'm moving 12 miles closer to work.

An Evo, especially an older one will cost loads of time / money to keep on the road.

Get an Integra DC5 - it'll be as quick as anything on the road and designed with low maintenance in mind.
