Where's best place to get cambelt service done?...

My Z will need the dreaded cambelt change soon, and I was wondering where I can get it done in the Midlands area?(I couldn't tackle it myself)

What parts are required, and how much do you think it is likely to cost me..including labour.

I didn't want to risk the local Nissan dealership due to cost and the likelyhood of problems arising from the fact it's an import non-turbo.(Last time I tried to get a part..they said that Nissan never built a non-turbo Z32!!)

Thanks,

JEZ300Z

Jez,

Cant recommend anyone but having done this job on a ZXTT i can tell you you may as well ask them to check the two 3" hoses from the heads for leaks and make sure water pump has no leaks & bearings are ok while timing cover is off. the other easily changed item is thermostat but if all is well you will hopefully only need a timing belt.Best of luck Beamer

Order the parts from Courtesy Nissan in the US. They provide parts for NA and TT on US, Jap and Euro models. The 60K service kit only costs about $280 (£200 ish)including discount. Probably around $350 including shipping though. Say to are a TT.net member. The kit includes timing belt, water pump, tensioner springs, water hoses, cam seals, O rings, thermostat etc etc. This is a fraction of UK Nissan's prices. I always get my parts from Courtesy now with no problems. Speak to Steve or Vince. Delivery within 4 days too!

I will do you a deal you get the parts and I will fit them, if I can put the car bact to gether and I still works I might make a start on my cambelt.

What do you think?

P.S I will be unable to give any warranty!!!!!!!

As you can see above I can't spell.

but I will still give your cambelt a go.
