offset and rim width help

Little advice needed guys.

 

how do you measure the offset?

 

Where do you measure to calculate the wheel width?

 

Stumped on this and the alloys deffo don't have the sizes stamped on them anywhere. :confused:

You measure the wheel width with the tyre off .Between the inside of the tyre sealing bead this is normally an inch smaller than across the top off the wheel.So 9" wheel across the top is normally 8" wheel .Wheel offset you need to find the centre line of the wheel half the true width in mm not inches then measure from the rear of the wheel, from the hub face to the edge of the wheel rim with a piece of wood on the top then then minus this figure from half of the true wheel width.Zero offset is the centre line of the wheel .Hope this helps thanks taff.
