what did you guys have for yours and any decent suggestions?

 

there are so many good ones out there i dont know where to start!!

I missed mine as I was in the kitchen with the head bridgesmaid we were having an argument with the town mayor and his officals. I should have beening singing with the band to my husband at the time. They carried on without me. My friend is a songwriter and I used to play and sing in the band.

 

I'd suggest something that is special to you both or have someone write and perform something special as a surprize for the other half.

mine was oddly enough 'angel of death' by slayer followed by 'killing in the name of' by rage against the machine! i don't know if its your kinda thing but was right up my alley

The "late great" Luther Vandross with "Always and Forever" was ours.

DJ Sammy Heaven the candlelight mix. And seven seconds Neneh Cherry & Youssou Ndour. I did a bit of my own mix with the two and also added the intro from Enigma's The Principles of Lust. It went down really well.

When I used to work in a bar we held a wedding reception one weekend. The first song to be played was On and On by The Longpigs. I dunno if any of you re familiar with this song but the chorus goes "I wish you would leave me, I wish you would go...."

 

We thought it was a kinda odd choice lol
