Dave Grohl was the original drummer of Nirvana, after which he wrote, produced and recorded his first album by himself under the name of the foo fighters (another name for ufo) then he was joined by the rest of the band, Nate Mendel, and drummer, William Goldsmith

 

Then Goldsmith was eventually replaced by Taylor Hawkins, a chappy called Chris Shiflett joined on guitar.
