We got a stretch of national speed limit dual carriage way on the way to work. On the way back it was peeing it down and as I got to the road I accelerated hard. As I shifted into second and accelerated the car suddenly spun to the left then quickly to the right and then righted itself.

Now I wasnt in a corner and I know about oversteer with rear wheel drive but I'm not sure what happened to me.

It all happened in about 2 seconds and I did something with the steering wheel when it happened although I'm not sure what. I think I turned it in the opposite way of both skids then let it straighten.

Any ideas? Sh*t me up!

christ its a daily occurence for me! well not that bad, but its something u have to watch. tires can make a big difference, wide tires in the dry will help your car stick to the road, but have the complete reverse effect in the wet, as for steering u do tend to find if your mind works that way u will correct the slide without having to think about it, just be carefull dude!
