You can probably buy a years worth and cancel after 1 month. Then they give you back about 10 months premium. If you pay on credit card or installments then you may be able to work it that you don't have to cough up for the whole lot in one go.

try the (insurance factory 0870 200 6006)

it say it'd dose 3 month 6 month 9 month or 12 month insurance pol

Dont think that will work.

I tried to get insurance for 3 months and I couldnt find any where.

Most insurance companies take 2 months upfront and then a month later take another payment, plus they charge you cancelation fees.

So after 1 month you would have paid nearly 3 months worth, (2 lots upfront, 1 lot after your first month) and then a cancelation fee, which I have been told is around a months payment again.

Not worth it.

So are you buying that car with the hole in the manifold?

There's a company in Brands Hatch (just outside the main entrance) who do speedo conversions and other things for imports. A year or two ago (when I was last in touch) they had a scheme set up with an insurance company for policies lasting a couple of days for exactly this purpose.

I'm afraid I don't recall their name but they advertised in exchange & mart (and probably auto trader too) for speedo conversions.

Only moderate help I know but worth a bit of research as they probably do what you want.
