Nearly there with an (unintended at time of purchase) "restoration project" 300ZX (1991 uk spec(rust to prove it), manual, TT, 2+2). But having wiring problems.

Following full engine rebuild, garage recommended I had engine-bay wiring harness plugs (Injector/coil?) looked at as they've gone s**t over time (usual heat related & oxidisation problems) but weren't causing any misfire/other problems.

Would have thought other members will have had similar problems & i wondered what the best advice is? are plugs available from Nissan/others for soldering in to the existing wiring loom? new loom the best option? relative costs?

Sorry that I'm new to this if I've missed anything obvious on the site, was recommended by a mate to look here! Thanks!

If the metal has gone green then really it's best to change them, as opposed to just cleaning them.

You have two real choices, 1, Just change the individual plug with a short length of wire, then solder into you existing loom. 2, Change the whole ECU loom. This is the best option, but with two downsides, first they are difficult to come by and cost quite a lot of ££££££, and second they are a pig to fit. But then that does change the majority of the main plugs in the engine bay.
