Headlamp aiming kit???

I've just been looking on the JLAudio website at custom sub boxes.

For the 2 seater the box goes on top of the boot floor I think they said, but for the 2+2 it goes underneath where the spare is. They mention that the only thing you have to remove to fit it is "the headlamp aiming kit" which is what???

Is this possibly why a load of us have arse feckin' headlights? I noticed that mine shine more onto the front bumper than anywhere in front of the car!

Could this be why my lights suddenly seem brighter sometimes? Coz the lights are loose and are moving around???

Hmmmmm!

my m8 down here has a shop that deals in JL Audio stuff and i asked them. they said its the polystyrene bits on either side of the car that have got to be removed.

I got 3 x10" JL audio in the boot in a nice big box! i just built it and installed it all last week!

the US zeds have head light aiming tools.

some of the imports do too...

if your headlight glass has 3 small lumps, then you should have a tool that fits over them, and gives you a marker to reposition your beam to.

Cheers chaps! wink.gif

Now all we need is a headlight removal tool!!!

I took four layers of skin off my knuckles removing mine last night.

Now fot JeffTT's headlight upgrade and some bigger bulbs.

Then refitting the 750 components I had to remove to get at the headlights!!

for aiming the headlights, I find twiddling the round leather covered thing in front of me from side to side works most of the time.

OTOH if you're researching for sub-woofers, amble over to Pioneer and take a look at the TS-WX105A. This is not a purpose-built jobbie like JLAs but is just about the only tube subwoofer incl amp which will fit behind the back seat. It only needs some velcro to keep it from wobbling about.

So if you are looking for a good increase in bass without loads of £££ or cutting the car - or might want to take the sub with you to a new car, it's worth a look.

For reasons that would take too long to explain I have a pair of the pukka headlamp adjusters that locate on the little lumps in the glass that UK (and Jap models) don't have. Big downer is that they are only suitable for LHD cars and if you don't have the lumps (so to speak) then probably only US cars ... Offers anyone ? Eric ??

No thanks mate, I already have 2 of those useless headlight aiming kits wink.gif
