Ok, as ive mentioned before the car wont idle when its cold,

Now when im chaging gear (still when cold) it sounds like a toy car moving type of noise, very hard to explain really, maybe air escaping somewhere or something

Anyone got any ideas what this might be

It's hard to figure out the probs you have without poking head under bonnet.

Im an engineer and lost interest in car mechanics till the ZED just love working on the thing. The engine is quite simple to work with nothing realy small and fiddly, it's getting to stuff that the biggest problem and when you turn the key and hear the noise you just know it's worth it.

Mine is at a body shop ATM and the owner says he has never seen so much interset in a car B4 if it's outside ppl are allways gawping at it (the thing is standard appart for wheels)

Take the bloody thing back to the place where you got the new engine fitted. If the bloke's not a spinless gixxar type, then I'm sure he'll at least offer some help.

Don't be disrespectful about him as he has been spot on mate.

And its not his fault that my engine has a leak is it? no it isn't, and he helps me all the time

bud the mechanic is spot on, i think its just birds bad luck or the devil within the car lol

should be compesated by the person that supplied the engine though bud

Well take it back then? I have no idea who he is. But you've just had all this work done, I'm sure if he's a top mechanic as you say, he'll offer some help.

He has, he's the one that has looked to find where the leak is and things, he's always been willing to help me anytime i have asked for it but with for example the oil leak situation what should i expect him to do? drop the engine out and fix everything for free

Hope you dont think im being nasty mate, just like i said he's helped me a hell of a lot

Was the engine leaking before it went in? Things like replacing the main seal are really essential things to replace before an engine gets fitted. Usual source of oil leaks on thse engines.

The engine was obviously drained mate so we didn't see it then but yes it was already there.

Unfortunately try as we might we cannot be responsible for your wipers falling off just because we fitted a back light. You will hopefully find most mechanics, Technicians have pride in theyre work. Therefore if anything goes wrong We they try and sort the problem ASAP. And I think Bird is trying to say his mechanic Has done everything he can To help but he cant do everything just because he fitted the engine ! In the nicest way ?

Like I said, certain things should be replaced before fitting engines into cars.

Well i bought the engine plug and play anyway but i can possibly replace everything, i done oil filter and all that stuff.

Plus its a place that is not know to have problems from what i can gather

These are sundries that always are best being replaced while the engine is out, regardless of whether you deem it 'plug n play'. Some water pipes round the back of the engine, rear knock sensor and harness plus main seal.
